





















The courses selected for this edition of the challenge highlight upcoming biking and trail running events in Las Cruces. The courses do not have to be completed in any particular order and can be attempted multiple times to obtain and register your desired time.
1. The Sierra Vista course is a similar version of the Sierra Vista Trail Runs presented by The SNMTA in March; Course begins from the Dripping Springs trailhead and the return point is at the Peña Blanca parking lot (18 miles total).
2. The small Jackalope course is the short course (12 miles) available in the trail run and mtb Jackalope Race organized by Share The Toad Racing scheduled Oct. 18th.
3. Historic Trackways course is the same 4-mile lollipop route used in this year's Day of the Dead Ultrabackyard organized by Wanderlust Running scheduled Oct. 30th; must do two loops for the challenge.
4. The Doña Ana course is the CAT 2 course (14 miles) of the upcoming DA Mountain Race organized by Share The Toad Racing scheduled Oct. 30th.
5. The Baby Bird (15 miles) is an intro to the bikepacking adventure that is the Dangerbird, which traverses the Monumental Loop, organized by Matt Mason scheduled Nov. 6th.
6. The Tortugas course is similar to the course used during the Tortugas 24HR Race organized by the SNMTA and is scheduled Nov. 20th. For the challenge, must do one counterclockwise loop followed by a clockwise loop.















The 2026 and 2nd edition of the challenge now includes a category for trail runners and is focused on trails found in Las Cruces, NM. The challenge is open to mtb riders and trail runners of all ages and skill levels and consists of completing 6 courses on your own; activities must be uploaded to strava group (if public), or emailed the day completed. No edited files will be accepted. Each course is associated with a designated stop in which participants will receive an item and a stamp for each course completed. Locations will be sent via email only to registered participants. Awards only to those who complete all 6 courses before November 21st. Awards ceremony is on Nov. 22nd. Cash prizes only to overall top runners and riders using total time across all 6 courses.
