The THIRD edition of the JACKALOPE RACE will take place in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, October 17th and 18th, 2026. NEW sections added to the course and a TRAIL RUN version is available for 2026!. The race begins in south Doña County from Mesquite, heading north towards Las Cruces, Tortugas Mountain, and the Sierra Vista Trail back. The same course for TRAIL, MTB, and GRAVEL. Podium for top 3 men and women in each distance, category (TRAIL/MTB/GRAVEL), and age group (under 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Cost is 65.00$. Race time is 8:00 AM.

The TRAIL RUN race is scheduled on Saturday the 17th. Two distances available: 20K (12 mile) and a 47K (29 mile).

The MTB and GRAVEL race is scheduled on Sunday the 18th. Three distances available: 12 mile beginner's loop, a "medium" course of 29 miles, and the "full" course of 42 miles. Same course for MTB and GRAVEL riders -different category (flat bars versus drop bars).
