The THIRD edition of the JACKALOPE RACE takes place in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, October 18th, 2026. NEW sections added to the course, a TRAIL RUN, and a RUN+RIDE version are available for 2026!.

The race begins in south Doña County from Mesquite, heading north towards Las Cruces, Tortugas Mountain, and the Sierra Vista Trail back.

Podium for top 3 men and women in each distance, category (TRAIL RUN, RUN+RIDE, and BIKE), and age group (under 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Cost is 65.00$. USAC sanctioned event. Race time is 8:00 AM.

The TRAIL RUN race offers three available distances: 'small' (20K/12MI), 'medium' (47K/29MI), and the 'large' (65K/41MI), in which runners first do the 'small' course, come by the start/finish line and then proceed to do the 'medium' course.

The RUN+RIDE consists of running the 'small' course (20K/12MI), come by the start/finish line, get on the bike, and proceed to do the 'medium' course (47K/29MI). MTB or GRAVEL bike only. Absolutely no tubes. Bike must have number plate and be in the designated area prior to the run.

The BIKE RACE consists of three available distances. Only MTB or GRAVEL bikes are allowed (choose accordingly and at your own risk). Some sections, the gravel bike is better and in others, definitely the mtb. Courses are the 'small' course (20K/12MI), 'medium' course (47K/29MI), and the 'large' course (65K/41MI), which is doing the 'small' course, returning to the start/finish line, and proceeding to complete the 'medium' course.
